At NextPlay Group, we identify and guide talented young and experienced soccer players from all over the world. Our mission is to help you become the best version of yourself while advancing your athletic career. Our team is dedicated to providing personalized guidance and support to help you achieve your goals. We seek to work only with confident and ambitious athletes that are ready to take their journey to the next level.

THE PROCESS

  • Step 1

    Initial Screening

    Our team knows how difficult it is to navigate an athletic career. You will have an initial virtual meeting with our Director of Talent, where you will get to learn about our philosophy and we will get to know you as a person and as an athlete.

  • Step 2

    Path Planning

    After the initial screening, if there is interest from both parties to proceed, we will set up a follow-up call to discuss possible paths that you can take in your athletic career. In this meeting, with both the Director of Talent and the Principal, we will lay out a clear path that you can take to further your career in the US.

    We Go To Work For You

    Depending on your goals and athletic level, we will work hard to market your profile and find the right fit for your journey. As we make use of our network of coaches and recruiters, we will make sure we plan according to your preferences and ambitions.

  • Step 4

    The Journey Begins

    Once the right fit is found, depending if you are international or domestic, we start assisting with exam registration, immigration proceedings, transcripts, and school/team-related paperwork needed for you to start out your athletic career in the US. Once you sign, we will be with you throughout the entire process.

FAQ

Depending on the location, school, and scholarship you receive, the ultimate cost to attend college in the United States can vary. As an agency, we attempt to get you the best financial package possible. Many student-athletes attend either community colleges and universities on full-ride scholarships, which means the institution covers the entirety of the tuition and fees associated with attending (such as housing and food).

This can happen to some student-athletes. Luckily, this is not a big deal. We, as an agency, can assist in transferring you to another program that best fits your needs.

To start this journey we would want you to have a minimum level of English proficiency. You need not be fluent, but must be able to communicate in English at a minimum basic level. Once you have contacted us, we will inquire about your athletic background and materials.

You can still go to the US, this would be considered to be a “transfer” at the academic level, in this case, we will assist in converting/translating your transcript and getting those validated in the US.

We would ideally want to start this process with you a year in advance. We are confident we can get many things done in a tighter timeline, but ideally you want to have time to let us find you a handful of options from which you can choose (if possible). Because we will be helping you get your paperwork and English-language examinations ready, we would ideally want to start the process as soon as possible. The ideal time to contact us is 1–2 years before graduating high school.

There is no right answer for this. Depending on your level of competition within your domestic league, we will promote you to coaches that would be interested in you based on your profile.
